MoodBoard + Theme

In recent decades, human relationships have become more liquid, characterized by fluidity, superficiality, and ephemerality. At the same time, consumer culture has promoted programmed obsolescence, where products are designed to become obsolete, resulting in an incessant cycle of buying and discarding. In addition, the rise of the digital age has brought with it a growing lack of authentic human contact, as virtual interactions often replace face-to-face contact.

This study explores how these phenomena are interconnected, analyzing how fluidity in relationships influences consumer culture and how lack of contact impacts emotional isolation and disconnection. We also investigate coping strategies and potential solutions for cultivating deeper and more authentic relationships in the digital age, while dealing with programmed obsolescence.
